Ippodo - Mugicha | Barley Tea

Made from barley that is slow roasted and then coarsely cracked to ensure the best flavour, mugicha makes a refreshing drink on a hot summer's day. With its nutty aroma and slightly sweet aftertaste, mugicha has a unique flavour.

 

Completely caffeine free, but with a roasted flavour why not try it as an alternative to coffee.

Just add one of the tea bags to a litre of water (either hot or cold) and leave to steep. You'll have a pitcher of barley tea that the whole family can enjoy.

 

How to Make Perfect Mugicha:

1. Add a tea bag to a litre of water, hot or cold.
2. If using hot water steep for 10 minutes. If using cold water steep for 1 hour.
3. Sit back and enjoy your tea!
