Ippodo has been producing tea and matcha in Kyoto since 1717 and is one of the most respected tea makers in Japan. They have teahouses across Japan as well as in New York. Obukucha is a special release genmaicha, made with one of the highest grades of green tea leaves that Ippodo produces. The result is a tea with a fuller-bodied, sweeter green tea character and a hint of roasted rice.
