The leather used is called Seta Double, tanned by the North Italian company Poletto. The European hide was chrome-tanned to give this slightly matte yet clear leather. The name Seta comes from the Italian word for silk, and speaks for the silky smooth touch and natural finish of this leather.
The front of the cover is in a warm grey, while the back is in a cool-toned light blue. A specialised process was used to create this dual-tone on one single piece of leather. The unique sleekness of the leather makes it soft to the touch, and thanks to its finely grained texture, scuff marks will be less visible.
This is a cover only and does not include the Techo book. The book is available here.

About the brands / artists
Hobonichi Techo is one of Japan’s most treasured planner brands. The company was founded by the writer Shigesato Itoi in 1998, who set up a famous website - Hobo Nikkan Itoi Shinbun – where he posted blog entries, articles, essays and interviews. In 2001 they decided to create the perfect planner, starting with just 12,000 copies. A business that has now grown to last year’s figure of nearly 750,000 planners! Find our more
