Wasanbon is a traditional Japanese sweets, made with Japanese sugarcane, produced in Kagawa. Unlike mass-produced white sugar, Wasanbon undergoes an intricate refining process involving repeated kneading and washing to remove impurities. This labour-intensive method results in a uniquely fine texture and a delicate sweetness that is highly prized in Japanese confectionery.

It is a staple in tea ceremonies, where its subtle sweetness balances the bitterness of matcha. Beyond traditional uses, Wasanbon is paired with beverages like coffee, tea, and cocktails, adding a refined, mellow sweetness.

Its flavour is mild and complex, and it melts effortlessly on the tongue, enhancing the overall tasting experience.

Choose between two beautifully designed options: the elegant New Year of the Snake theme or the delicate floral theme. Each features charming patterns and intricate details, adding a touch of joy and sophistication to any home. Select the design that speaks to you and celebrate the season with style.

Ingredients: Sugar cane, Colouring

Each design comes with its own wooden and colourful box
